Driving Directions
From Kona International Airport:
  • Exiting the Kona airport, turn left at the traffic light onto Queen Kaahaumanu Highway 19, heading toward Kawaihae.
  • Continue on Highway 19 for 27 miles; travel time is approximately 30 minutes.
  • The entrance to Mauna Kea Beach Hotel will be on the left (oceanside) of the highway. Look for the lava rock wall titled with "Mauna Kea" and an orange plumeria.
