| Golf Course On Site | The Old Course at Bovey Castle is a challenging and beautiful 18-hole championship golf course, designed in 1926 by JF Abercromby, one of the finest British golf course designers of the Golden Era, and has been named one of top 100 golf courses in Britain. The course meanders through the Castle estate, surrounded by idyllic landscape, with challenges to meet any handicap. Bovey also offers a fully-equipped club house, golf academy and bistro for pre and post match meals and snacks. |

Attractions
Mountain Bikes Location: Opposite the Mews building. (9 bikes available: 5 adult, 2 junior, 2 children's.) Saddle's and helmets are available from reception.
Badminton/Volleyball Location: Next to the tennis courts. Please ask at reception for equipment.
Daily Falconry Display Location: The terrace outside the Palm Court Dining Room. This takes place every morning at 10.00am.
Croquet Location: Opposite the Herbaceous Border, next to the old swimming pool. All equipment is down on the lawn. This is a seasonal activity, perfect for a summer's afternoon.
Boules Location: Between the Herbaceous Boarder and the Archery Field. Available all the year round. All equipment is down at the pit.
Playbarn Thur Playbarn is open and manned during school holidays. It is a facility for younger children and activities such as drawing, painting, face painting and simple origami take place.
Cricket Net Location: To the right of the Herbaceous Boarder, adjacent to the Boules Pit. This is seasonal. It starts mid/late May until Mid September. Contact reception or the activities department for equipment.
Table Tennis Location: The theatre.
Daily Egg Collecting Location: Behind the Mews Building. Meet a member of the activities team at reception at 9.00am every morning. Children can feed and water the chickens as well as collecting eggs. In addition to this they will meet the Bovey ferrets.
Jungle Camp and Climbing Frame Location: The wood behind the Mews Building. The jungle camp has 4 shelters and a fire pit built by Gurkha's. Children should be supervised at all times.
Trampoline Location: Between the Herbaceous Boarder and the Archery Field.
Tennis Location: below the lodges Hard courts are available for use unless pre-booked for coaching or by other guests. (Tubes of tennis balls are available from reception at £10.00 each). Partners may be available for a game or a knock up, either other guests, or, by arrangement a member of staff (If a member of staff a charge of £25.00 per hour applies)
Skating Rink Location: On the Hard Tennis courts, which are below the lodges and to the left of the Herbaceous Border. The skating rink is a seasonal activity and is available from late November to mid March. |
