Driving Directions
From Kona International Airport
Turn left at the stoplight exiting the Kona International Airport on to Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway #19.
Remain on Highway #19 for 19.5 miles.
The entrance to Mauna Lani Resort is located on your left (on the ocean side) of the highway. There is a noticeable coconut grove on the left.
Enter the resort on Mauna Lani Drive and proceed for about a mile to the round-about (traffic circle).
Enter the circle, yielding to traffic.
Take the first right turn / cut-off which is North Kaniku Drive.
Stay on North Kaniku Drive until you reach the main entrance to The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii at the end of the drive.
From Hilo International Airport
From Kekuanaoa Street (Airport Access Road) turn right on to Kanoelehua Street.
Turn left onto Kamehameha Avenue. Continue as lane merges to the right onto Highway 19.
Remain on Highway to Waimea and then head right towards Kawaihae.
Continue for 11 miles down the Kawaihae Road, and turn left to continue on Highway 19.
Approximately seven miles away, a sign will note Mauna Lani Drive. Turn right onto Mauna Lani Drive. Proceed to the traffic circle and take the first right, North Kaniku Drive.
Stay on North Kaniku Drive until you reach the main entrance to The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii at the end of the drive. |

| GATHERING OF THE KINGS POLYNESIAN FEAST (Luau) Introducing the Big Island's newest Polynesian Feast The Fairmont Orchid and Island Breeze Productions announce a partnership that combine the Big Island's finest cuisine with its most spectacular Polynesian production. Every Saturday, guests are invited to gather for an evening that begins under the stars dining on culinary treasures from Hawai'i, Tahiti, New Zealand and Samoa on the beautiful grounds of The Fairmont Orchid at Plantation Estates. Using a fusion of both traditional Polynesian and modern dance choreography, the dancers of Island Breeze retell the story of the settlement of the Pacific. Displayed in its fullness is the mana (power) of the ali'i (chiefs) and how each would be forever linked to the one star that guided them. |
